Florida Knights GK Director Kevin Keelan will be holding specialist training prior to the tryouts throughout May 29th - June 5th. Kevin Keelan comes to the Florida Knights with a star studded background. After starting his impressive career with EPL team Aston Villa in 1960 Keelan finished his EPL journey with Norwich City.
In total, Keelan played 673 competitive matches for Norwich which remains the club record to this day. Keelan had a career spanning from 1963 through to 1980, and was part of some of the major events in the history of the Canaries. In the 1971-72 season Norwich City earned promoted to English football’s top division for the first time. Keelan was also instumental in the League Cup campaigns of 1973 against Tottenham Hotspur (which was the club’s first appearance at Wembley Stadium), and also in 1975 v Aston Villa.
